Mark Cavendish (MBE), as one of the most successful bike riders of all time, needs little introduction. The 30 time Tour de France stage winner who is also a former world champion, has a total of 144 UCI pro wins to date and at only 31 years of age.

After finding his passion for riding on a BMX at an early age, Mark didn’t take long to reveal his talent. Bursting onto the track scene, the Manxman would twice be crowned World Champion in the Madison. After turning pro in 2006, Cav ran a double program on the track and road before his focus shifted to the road from 2009 onward. In 2016 he was able to put on his first ever Yellow jersey at the Tour de France, wore the Green jersey for a week and added 4 stage wins to his already impressive tally. In October he came 2nd at the World Championships in Doha, Qatar. On the track he won the World Championship title in the Madison and finished second in the Omnium at the Rio Olympics.

Both on and off the bike, Mark is a true professional and to have him as an ambassador for Qhubeka shows his commitment to not only riding for his own palmares but for the greater good as well.
