Youcef Reguigui

Youcef comes from a cycling family. His father is a famous cyclist from Algeria who raced in Europe during the 70’s and 80’s. He won seven races in 2012 including a Nations Cup event against some of the best under 23 riders in the world, which was the catalyst to his first professional contract.

Youcef has been mentored by some of the more experienced sprinters on the team for the last 2 seasons and this already bore fruit with Youcef’s stage 3 win at the Tour of Azerbaidjan in 2014 and then the big win at the Tour de Langkawi in 2015.

Youcef has also been key to many of Kristian Sbaragli’s top results in 2014 and 2015 as he led out the Italian in a number of crazy sprint finishes. With a number of marquee sprinters part of the team for 2016, Youcef was an integral part of the teams success with the experience he had already gained in the sprint leadouts. He also took part in the Rio Olympic Games and came 2nd in the African Continental championships.
