The UCI 1.HC French classic, Paris-Tours, gets underway this Sunday and will be the last race on French soil of our 2018 season.

The 112th edition of the race offers a new improvised route, with the final 60km of racing containing seven new climbs. The new route also includes 12,7km of gravel sections which will certainly spice up the racing somewhat.

Spearheading our team will be Edvald Boasson Hagen, who was in the action last week at Munsterland Giro, and will certainly enjoy the slightly more testing route on offer this year.

Joining our strong Norwegian will be a typically strong classic group of Nic Dougall, Bernhard Eisel, Connor Swift and Julien Vermote as well as our South African duo of Reinardt Janse van Rensburg and Jay Thomson.

Line-up:
Edvald Boasson Hagen
Nic Dougall
Bernhard Eisel
Reinardt Janse van Rensburg
Connor Swift
Jay Thomson
Julien Vermote

Le Jardin de la France, the moniker for Tours, has taken a literal turn for this year’s race parcours.
Nine kilometres of vineyard paths and 12,5 kilometres of stony dirt roads, take the peloton on a garden route that only the ‘Garden of France’ city could serve up.
Let’s hope no one ‘goes gardening’ on the new challenging roads. Those who do may just need some wellies!
