Bernie Eisel

Bernhard Eisel is veteran of the pro peloton as he looks to begin his 18th season as a professional with Team Dimension Data in 2018. The Austrian diesel engine has become synonymous for chewing up kilometers on end at the front of the peloton while often acting as road captain for the teams he has ridden for.

Bernie has 12 victories as a pro with arguably his most prestigious being the Gent-Wevelgem. In 2017 Bernie managed to win the King of the Mountains title at the Arctic Race of Norway.

The 36-year-old Austrian has always looked at home during the spring classics and his experience on the Belgian and French cobbles will stand our African Team in good stead for the coming season.

Bernie has also been long time teammate of Mark Cavendish, a right-hand man if you would, over the last couple of years and has contributed largely to the success of the Manxman.
