Louis Meintjes

Rider

Louis Meintjes returns to our African Team after 2 years away, racing for Lampre-Merida and UAE Emirates. After gaining valuable experience from those European set ups, Louis will now take his place as the centre piece to our African Teams 2020 vision, which is to place an African rider on the GC podium of the Tour de France.

After placing 8th at the Tour de France in both 2016 and 2017, the next step will be for Meintjes to break into the top 5 of the GC. This is the target set for 2018 and Team Dimension Data will be built around the South African climber heading into the Giro d’Italia and Vuelta a Espana.

With Louis onboard, South African and African cycling is heading for some exciting times over the next 3 years.
