Nic Dlamini

Rider

Nicholas Dlamini is a new recruit to our African Team for 2018, joining our squad from our feeder team, Team Dimension Data Continental. Dlamini grew up in Capricorn Park, Western Cape. A community riddled with poverty, crime and gang violence. Despite this hardship, Dlamini took to cycling and worked extremely hard to pursue his goal of becoming a professional rider.

Dlamini spent 2 years with our feeder team, based at our European training centre in Lucca, Italy. It was in 2017 when Dlamini showed his true potential by winning the King of the Mountians jersey at the u23 Giro d’Italia. The young South African followed that up with strong rides while serving as a stagiaire to our World Tour team at the backend of 2017.

2018 will be a year of learning and finding his feet in the professional peloton as neo pro, who are confident this won’t take long for someone as talented as Nic.
